MaryJoy Kalogiannis graduated from St. John?s University with a B.A. in Government & Politics in 2000, and she received her J.D. from New York Law School in 2003. While attending law school Ms. Kalogiannis worked for Goldstein & Greenlaw, L.L.P., a law firm specializing in Landlord/Tenant Law, representing numerous large Co-op and Condominium Corporations. She has also served as judicial extern to the Hon. Nicholas Tsoucalas at the U.S. Court of International Trade where she assisted on cases involving antidumping and customs classification issues. Upon graduating from law school, Ms. Kalogiannis worked for Argyropoulos & Bender, Esqs., a plaintiff?s personal injury law firm, where she worked on the litigation of cases involving negligence including motor vehicle accidents, labor law, slip and fall and medical malpractice. Ms. Kalogiannis is admitted to the New York State Bar and The United States Courts for both the Eastern District and Southern District of New York. She is a member of the New York County Lawyers Association as well as the Queens County Lawyers Association. Mary Joy Kalogiannis began working for Short & Billy, P.C. in January of 2006. She hss co-authored 2011 Chapter 27 of the New Appleman on Insurance Law Practice Guide.
